January 16: History Center Lunch & Learn Lecture Series
Polk County History Center · Bartow
-The museum invites guests to bring lunch and listen to a guest speaker on the third Tuesday every month.
-Lectures will begin at 12:15 and last 30 - 45 minutes.

January 17: Erie Bayhawks vs. Lakeland Magic
RP Funding Center · Lakeland
-The Lakeland Magic presented by is the NBA Gatorade League affiliate of the Orlando Magic.
-The Lakeland Magic will play 24 home games at the RP Funding Center.

January 18: Harrison School for the Arts Piano Concert
Harrison School for the Arts - Main Theatre · Lakeland
-The Harrison School for the Arts piano department will be presenting their Winter Piano Concert in the main theatre.
-There are several exciting two piano ensemble numbers being performed, opening with a transcription of the Brandenberg Concerto No. 3, J.S. Bach.
-Other ensembles include Flight of the Bumblebee, Rimsky-Korsakov, Champagne Toccata, Gillock. Featured solo piano repertoire will include Chopin, Brahms, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and Gottschalk, to name a few.

January 18: Chicago: The Musical

-Main Street Bartow’s Friday Fest is a downtown Bartow block party featuring live music, vendor booths, childrens fun activities, great food, beer and other drinks.

January 20: Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show
Lake Silver · Winter Haven
-Members of the original Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team continue to WOW central Florida audiences, and work to pass on their water skiing skills to the next generation.
-The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team was started by former waterskiers from Cypress Gardens Theme Park.
-Burgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks, t-shirts and hats will be available for sale.

January 20: Uptown Yard Sale & Flea Market

-Bartow’s monthly Uptown Yard Sale & Flea Market is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, along the 300 block of East Main Street in downtown Bartow.

January 20: Central Florida Farm Tour

-Central Florida Farm Tour is a self-guided driving tour featuring some of the most extraordinary farms located throughout east Polk County, FL.
-This is a unique opportunity for guests to experience working farm operations not normally open to the public.
-Bring your cooler and take advantage of the opportunity to pick your own fruit and vegetables or buy plants direct from several farm nurseries.

-Explore the Polk County History Center during a family friendly architectural tour and learn more about Neo-Classical architecture, the construction of the building and the stories behind the iconic Old Polk County Courthouse.

January 20: A Night at the Opera: Gianni Schicchi
Florida Southern College · Lakeland
-Imperial Symphony Orchestra’s annual opera production welcomes opera professionals to Lakeland for a two-week rehearsal and performance schedule including special workshops for students.
-The Imperial Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra is comprised of 80 volunteer musicians, who have made it their mission to entertain, educate and inspire audiences through enlightening performances of symphonic music.

January 21: Dog Day of Winter
Bok Tower Gardens · Lake Wales
-Bok Tower Gardens is going to the dogs for a good cause for one day only this winter.
-Leashed and friendly dogs will be invited to visit to help support the Humane Society of Polk County, which will receive 50 percent of the event proceeds.
-Dog grooming tips, health, safety and adoption information will be available.

January 23: Greensboro Swarm vs. Lakeland Magic

-The Lakeland Magic presented by is the NBA Gatorade League affiliate of the Orlando Magic.
-The NBA G League is made up of 25 teams that play 50 regular-season basketball games plus a postseason and runs from November to April.
